"Cover Florida Plan" Press Conference

“AIF's Jose Gonzalez with Governor Crist and other Business Leaders"

This morning Jose Gonzalez, Vice President - Governmental Affairs, attended a press conference with Governor Charlie Crist regarding the Governor's "Cover Florida Plan." A number of other business groups were also in attendance. The plan outlines options for limited benefit plans which will help Florida's more than 3.8 million uninsureds find some type of health insurance coverage.

"On behalf of AIF's members, we thank Governor Crist for taking a bold step to increase the options employers have to provide health insurance benefits to their employees. Health benefits play a major role in an employer's efforts to attract and keep quality employees. We look forward to working with the Governor as his plan advances through the Legislature," said Gonzalez.
