Reconvening of Special Session “D”
October 26 , 2007

Today, Senate President Ken Pruitt (R-Port St. Lucie) distributed the following letter to members of the Senate.  In the letter, President Pruitt has asked Senators to return to Tallahassee in time for the Senate to begin session at 9:00 a.m.  The House is also scheduled to be in session starting at 11:00 a.m.  According to President Pruitt, Senate staff has been working around the clock to determine the fiscal impact of the House’s proposal to impose a 5% assessment cap on commercial and non-homestead property.

AIF continues to engage both the House and Senate in an effort to ensure that whatever property tax reform proposal emerges is meaningful and feasible for the residents and business owners of our state.

Read President Pruitt’s letter in its entirety.
