Secretary of Corrections James Crosby Resigns
February 10,
2006
Earlier today, Governor
Bush asked for and received the resignation of James Crosby, Secretary
of Corrections. Bush asked for Crosby's resignation after he became
part of a far-reaching investigation into possible criminal activity
among prison system employees. Although we have not yet confirmed it,
it is our understanding that Crosby was arrested by the FBI earlier
today.
Bush made Colonel (Ret) James McDonough the interim Secretary of Corrections,
effective immediately.
