Beginning today, all Florida businesses with employees earning minimum wage ($5.15/hr) must increase this wage by one dollar. This is the result of the successful implementation of Amendment #5 - The Florida Minimum Wage Amendment which passed during last year's general election. Florida now joins a group of 13 states which have minimum wages higher than the Federal standard.
