AIFPC Candidate Interview

The AIF Political Action Committee (AIFPAC) was formed to assist in the election of business friendly candidates to the Florida Legislature. Further, AIFPAC provides an opportunity for Florida’s business owners to combine their resources with others in the business community to shape the political debate in our state.

Each election cycle, anti-business trial attorneys and labor unions dwarf the contributions made by the business community to legislative candidates. It is imperative that every Florida business person take an active role in the political process through campaign contributions in order to protect our businesses and the concept of free enterprise

Corporate and personal contributions to AIFPAC support candidates for the Florida House and Senate who understand and support our free-enterprise system, regardless of party affiliation. The AIFPAC is led by a board of directors made up of key Florida companies and industry associations who are involved in the political process on a daily basis. The board of directors, following significant input from the entire membership, determines the list of candidates who ultimately receive contributions and endorsements from AIFPAC. Over the last five election cycles more than 90 percent of the candidates supported by AIF have won election to the House or Senate.

Memberships in both AIFPAC and the AIF Political Council are separate from membership in AIF. To find out more, contact Michelle Mattox, Chief Political Officer, at (850) 224-7173 or email at mmattox@aif.com.
