Important information on the illness caused by anthrax can be found on state agency websites, said Dr. Rhonda Medows, Secretary for the Agency for Health Care Administration.

The sites are: www.floridahealthstat.com, www.doh.state.fl.us, and www.fdhc.state.fl.us.

"All three sites contain important consumer information on anthrax and its conditions, as well as a toll free number to contact if a person has questions," said Dr. Medows. "Otherwise, if Floridians have concerns about symptoms they may be having or questions about possible exposure, they should contact their doctor or health  care provider."

The state toll-free number is 1-800-342-3557
