The House Select Committee on Security will meet jointly with the Senate Select Committee on Public Security and Crisis Management for the following presentations:

• Discussion of Executive Branch Operations.
  

The Honorable Robert Butterworth, Attorney General 

• Discussion of law enforcement issues, Hate Crime Reporting. 
  

The Honorable Tom Gallagher, Insurance Commissioner and State Fire Marshal                                                                

• Discussion of the impact of September 11 events on the Insurance Industry and Markets; update on operations of the Office of State Fire Marshal.
  

The Honorable Katherine Harris, Secretary of State

• Discussion of trade issues and private security regulation.
  

The Honorable Charles Bronson, Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services

• Discussion of regulation and enforcement issues relative to hazardous materials, role of Agriculture Inspection Stations, emergency rule for crop dusters, and other related issues.
  

The Honorable Charlie Crist, Commissioner of Education

• Discussion of Public School safety issues.
  

Secretary Jim Horne, Secretary of Education

•  Discussion of status reporting of Student Visas, activities on state university campuses relating to grant work, laboratory testing and other related issues.
  

Mr. Scott McPherson, Director of Information Security, State Technology Office, Former Director of Team Florida 2000, Y2K Task Force

• Discussion of risks related to cyber terrorism and possible prevention measures.
