RECENT TERRORIST ATTACK

For those who are not aware, there are apparently major terrorist attacks going on throughout the United States. The World Trade Center buildings in New York were hit a short time ago by aircraft (two aircraft) when one aircraft, and then another eighteen minutes later, crashed into each of the towers in what appeared to be intentional crashes. Then, a short time later, there was an explosion at the Pentagon.

The President of the United States has grounded all civilian aircraft in the continental United States. The Armed Forces of the United States have been placed on full alert.

Today in Florida, House Speaker Tom Feeney (R-Oviedo) has cancelled legislative committee meetings and Governor Jeb Bush has cancelled cabinet meetings.

If you are not aware of the ongoing events, I suggest you immediately get to a television set and watch CNN for the breaking news.

This is to caution everyone to be at heightened alert at your place of business. In particular, large facilities and business operations located in large buildings should be particularly alert and take extreme security measures. In Washington, the White House, most federal buildings, and the Pentagon have been evacuated.

The purpose of this is to simply let you know what’s going on in the event you have not heard and to urge you to take extreme security measures and/or send your employees home as you deem appropriate.

All citizens should stay away from major governmental buildings, airports, and other major facilities in the geographical areas of the state which would be "good targets" for terrorist attacks.
