Election Update

HD 11 Rep. Debbie Boyd (D) v. Elizabeth Porter (R)

The State Elections Canvassing Commission met on Saturday evening and ordered a machine recount in House District 11 race between Rep. Debbie Boyd (D) and Elizabeth Porter (R). Rep. Boyd leads the race with 158 votes, which is only .2 percent over her Republican challenger. The counties are to report their results by 3 pm on Thursday, November 13, 2008.

Amendment 3- Changes and Improvements Not Affecting the Assessed Value of Residential Real Property

Amendment 3 narrowly escaped a mandatory machine recount by only two one-hundredths of a percent. It has been approved with 60.52% of the vote.
