On Thursday, the full Senate unanimously approved HB 503 Relating to Environmental Regulation by Representative Jimmy Patronis (R-Panama City).

This AIF priority bill is critical for Florida's employers because it will help accelerate the approval or denial process and bring certainty to businesses dealing with state agencies. Time is money and Florida businesses are spending too much time on a permitting process that includes duplications and burdensome regulations. "Rep. Patronis is to be commended for his steadfast leadership to bring a common sense approach to the permitting process," said Jose Gonzalez, Vice President of Governmental Affairs for AIF.

HB 503 will now proceed to Governor Rick Scott for his final approval.
